Oyster Shucker

If you follow along with us and our adventures, you know how much love we have for the shellfish growers here in Maine. Considering the number of oysters we eat, it only made sense to have our own oyster knife.

R. Murphy Knives designed this tough little shucker for the oystermen at Island Creek Oysters in Duxbury, Mass.

It has a stainless steel blade with tough pointy tip that requires little force to ease into the hinge of the oyster.  The knife is made with commercial grade stainless steel fitted with equally tough, ergonomically shaped recycled plastic handle.
